[NEWS] 140226 JYJ’s Kim Junsu Performs Finale for Music ‘December’

JYJ’s Kim Junsu wrapped up his musical performance for December.

C-JeS Entertainment, JYJ’s agency, announced on February 26, “Kim Junsu finished his last performance for music December in Daegu on February 25. Taking the role of Yoon Ji Wook, he acted out the character both in his twenties and forties throughout the musical, proving his range in acting.”

At the end of the final performance, the JYJ member said, “Today is the last day of performance for December. By performing in Sejong, to Busan, to Daegu, I realized that the power of musicals comes from the audience and I feel grateful. It was an honor to be able to perform on the same stage as other great actors. Thank you for showing your love for Ji Wook.”

Proving his ticket power, Kim Junsu’s musical sold 67,000 tickets in Seoul, and 13,000 in Busan and Daegu, gathering a total of 80,000 audiences of various age groups.

A staff member of the musical stated, “We started seeing people in their forties and fifties wanting to see Kim Junsu’s performance, because the words spread on his heart-touching performance of late Kim Kwang Suk’s music. He has the ability to bring out the memories and sentiments from the audience and focus on the musical.”

Director Jang Jin also gave his praise to the JYJ member, saying, “Every good encounter makes you wish for another one, and that’s how I feel. I was amazed by Kim Junsu’s undying inquisitiveness and humbleness in always bringing up his inexperience instead of his strengths.”

Meanwhile, Kim Junsu will be taking a short break before planning his activities in the later half of the year.
